To say 2020 isn’t going as planned would be an understatement.
Internships are being canceled. High schoolers are having their college entrance exams like the SAT and ACT canceled. Recent graduates are entering the weakest job market we’ve had in a long time. Startups and large cap companies alike are flopping left and right and preparing to close their doors indefinitely.
With that being said, your next question might be, “What’s going to happen to The Internship Initiative?”
And the answer is: everything and nothing. First and foremost, The Internship Initiative is here to stay, especially in this current environment.
Now, for the more exciting news: we’ve got a few exciting projects to share with you!
Take a look:
Website Makeover
Our website is currently in the process of getting a new redesign. It’s still in the initial stages, but here’s what we have planned (so far)!
- A more modern user interface
- Easier accessibility to specific resources for students, schools, and businesses
- Better navigability to different pages
- Clean graphics and a minimalist design to reduce clutter information overload
- And much more!
Social Media Overhaul
We’re in the process of rehauling our Instagram page to provide more interactive, relevant information to our followers. Here’s what we have planned:
- Creating a more consistent posting schedule
- Updating our followers on new internship opportunities and other progress we make
- Better designs and educational content
A Completely New Application
Our new application will make applying incredibly easy. With our new login system and auto save application features, you’ll be able to access your application however you want, whenever you want.
New Partnerships
We’ve recently partnered with Emerge Massachusetts, a political non-profit that helps democratic women run for office! To learn more about this specific opportunity, check out our posts on LinkedIn or Instagram.
We’re also in talks with a few school districts as well about our platform!
Commercial
We recently filmed a commercial for our high school users. Check it out!
That’s all for now. We’ll provide more updates on our blog, so stay tuned for more exciting news!
