About Us

The Internship Initiative is an organization dedicated to providing opportunities to the next generation of workers. The company was started during the start of 2019 by ARHS students. While each of them were applying for summer internships in early 2018, the founders quickly realized three problems with the status quo. First, there was a lack of opportunities offered to high schoolers. Second, the applications being offered were not customized for the high school experience. Third, without connections, many students couldn’t get a chance to shine. This was limiting their growth within the professional world and preventing them from gaining exposure to fields that they wanted to pursue in the future. After sharing their experiences with each other, the friends decided to make their experiences with high school internships a thing of the past.

Now, they are trying to give back to the community by breaking down the door that has long hindered high schoolers to the professional world. When the founders and Co-CEOs are not working on TII, you can find them at networking events trying to onboard businesses to the platform or at the library planning out the next month’s goals and agenda.
